my thought of the day...

well ang... thank you for helping me in my scientific research... i postulated that no matter how absurd an idea is or how hard u try to put dripping sarcasm into writing on a blog, there will always be someone out there who will take it seriously... im talking about the prison break comment... just a test to see who would actually respond to that seriously... thank you... this research will be for posterity... now... on the topic of finding a topic to blog about... im going to bring up a great little greek phrase that tim knows about and which appeared on the entrance to the temple to apollo at delphi and also above the oracle's door in the Matrix (albeit, the latin version)... that little phrase is γνῶθι σεαυτόν... which translated means "know thyself"... i have a question about that... if one spends so much time learning to know one's self, how does one grow?? any thoughts??

try number two.....anyways....I think that what Austin was talking about is so true....there is a lot of tension between trying to know yourself and running the risk of becoming too introspective and getting out there and interacting with others...like on the one hand the life of a hermit is somewhat attractive to me....there seems to be so much depth in the lives of some of the monks etc...but on the other hand how much can you really grow when are not dealing with people...huahauhauahu
